I know this is kind of great to see a side of the Every-Verse outside of the action, horror, and sci-fi and just do a normal focus on normal life. That's why I started a Slice of Life imprint here for titles that fit for the fans of sitcom and drama life.
When I came up with Lawndale here, I wanted to do a Daria reboot that fixed some things in seasons 4 and 5, mainly Tom Slone. Give Daria a rival and deal with real teen issues like school shootings and homosexuality.
Then I came up with Meet The Griffins, a homage to 80's and 90's sitcoms set in the world of Family Guy. Peter is still a fat idiot, same with Chris but with a gift for sports, Lois is a asshole of a mom, Brian has a mysterious past on how he talks and drinks, Stewie is still the evil baby genius who wants to rule the world, and Meg is a more independent character and now a lesbian. My idea for this version of FG is to get rid of the cutaways and the bashings of certain things. Like in the current arc with American Dad, I made the terrorists actual puppets led by Jim Henson (who is really Roger Smith.)
I had planned on a Home Movies mini series to continue where the show ended with Brendon coming back after a few months a make a return making movies, and has a run-in with the Belcher kids who want to be in his movie. I might do this as a Tales story since it was going to be a crossover with Bob's Burgers, even have Coach McGurk and Bob Belcher meet for a laugh.
Now with plans to introduce The Simpsons in Meet The Griffins, I plan to do a Simpsons series down the line.
I talked to Tobias about doing a Critic series that he planned on doing, and I would like to do my take on Jay Sherman and movie parodies.
One thing I like to do is to do a modern version of Riverdale, not as a dark mystery drama, but like the classic Archie comics still are. Add in Sabrina and Josie and the Pussycats into the mix, but the Archie cast in this version will not be linked to the ones in Monster Squad.
What do you guys think? Should I reboot Riverdale or do The Critic next?
