Who approved and published my Trek story?
Because I am getting all caps scolded for talking about continuing doing the thing somebody said was okay for me to do, except now it's wrong.

It is wrong to not understand you are establishing things.
That is what I am saying.
I don't know what you think I'm saying, but here's what I am saying: Know when you are establishing something.
That is ALL.

It's not ALL, because what you are saying and what happened are conflicting.
Who approved and published my Trek story?
If I'm doing this wrong, if I don't understand the rules, then why/how was my story approved and published?

STOP.
Stop.
Listen to me.
It is important that you know when you are establishing things about the setting.
THE END.
GO AWAY.

How could I possibly have predicted the ignorance with which you made your creative choices?
No creative choice is "wrong".
Doing it without due consideration is.
Earlier in this thread you made it clear you were entirely unaware of your role in establishing certain facts about this setting. I attempted to put you on game.
Now you've somehow made it about me not having seen the flaws in your process even though I AM NOT PRIVY TO YOUR PROCESS.
You wanna lay blame, how about this: Why did you send us a story in which you were not making considered creative choices?

Doing things on purpose, because what gets written is what gets established...
these are not my "rules".
These are the basics of writing.
I didn't think I needed to explain them.

Okay then. You guys establish some stuff. Show me how it's done.
I'll be back then.

I...
I just...
What?!
No.
No.
I am done with everyone not understanding simple concepts no matter how many times I explain them. I'm done. Everybody make sure you got your shit. In a few days I'm taking it all down. Fuck all of you. This is fucking absurd. You fucking morons holy shit.
How do you remember to breathe? Fuck off.
Jesus Christ.

Travis,
What Transformthebat means is like doing a reboot of a popular TV show, but do origins and reintroduce the characters not set in the TV/Movie series line. Like in the J.J. Abrams Star Trek origin film as we got to see Kirk meet the crew for the first time. You just do your version of that movie.
What I'm doing with Futurama is starting with a average adventure then in the next arc I plan to do my retelling of how Fry met everyone in the year 3000.
Understand?

Don't help me.
Of all people, you don't get to try to explain shit.
This is my last post.

I understood, and that was my plan for Lost in space. But, there was no way I could do that with every franchise, and I had ideas for some little side stories. To play with the idea that this is an integrated universe. My story idea lists are part wish list and also a chance for other writers, or maybe an editor, to then speak up if I was stumbling into any plans they had or maybe checking to make sure character dibs weren't in conflict. I appreciate your trying to help, but I think you're a page too late.

So, where was I...?
Oh yeah, my writing plans/wish list:
Doctor Who: Ideally, I'd like to do a six story 'season' with Doctor # 6 and move onto another Doctor. Leaning towards Doctor #1.
Lobster Johnson: will be continuing my Lucha Lobster trilogy, the next story will be 'Curse of the witch's house'. Would love to do a trilogy for all of the legacy versions of Lobster, ending with the 30's pulp one, but we'll see...
Hanna-Barbera world of super adventure: periodic short stories featuring HB characters not already dibbed by claypot. Rough gameplan is a Flintstones story, then the 70's cartoon Addams Family and then I'd love to write the Herculoids!
With the Full Moon heroes being brought into EV, I have dibbed Manddroid, and I have a weird idea for a Ghostbusters story, but I'd need to check with some other writers before, that goes anywhere.

Almost forgot:
The Lobster Johnson title is an anthology, so anybody is welcome. Come join the two-fisted, crime-busting fun!

Travis,
You can use the Ghostbusters Real and or Extreme in your story.
As for Hanna-Barbera, I'm using The Flintstones for my first Jetsons arc, but you can still use them anyway.

My Flintstones story is a one off and features the Great Gazoo, so I have no problem if it is written off as a warp in reality, or a bad dream Fred had after eating pizza before bed.
I might like to do something with the Gruesomes, the Flintstones version of the Addams family, but otherwise, my story is my only Flintstone idea.
My Ghostbuster idea is actually a prequel involving the short-lived TV show from 1975. I want to try and loosely connect them to to both the Real and the BPRD.
